The Brighter Side

Website design and development for a brand & comms strategist

The Brighter Side is an agency ran by James, whom is a brand and communications strategist.

James approached me to help redesign his outdated, templated website and to create a user friendly website which showcases some of this previous work. His previous website had a lot of visual clutter and lacked hierarchy. We worked together to create a more polished website which uses his existing logo, brand colours and typography.

The Process

During the discovery call, we went through the deliverables of the website and how we wanted the users to interact with it in an easy way. We decided to go ahead with a single page website which showcases 4 of the strongest portfolio pieces in a carousel format, whilst integrating GIFs and videos to bring the design to life.

Brand In Action

Once the website was designed in Figma, I started to develop the website in Squarespace. The website was constructed using widgets that are available in Squarespace with some custom code for animation. Using the widget, allows James to easily update the website himself.

The final website is clean and polished by using a monochrome colour palette along with the brands Scarlet red to provide subtle accents throughout the site.
