FormAlign

Website refresh for a medical equipment manufacturer

FormAlign is a B2B business in the medical sector where they provide component based seating to their customers.

I was approached by the head of business development to help them refresh their website. Their old website was outdated and didn’t have a user-centric approach. They wanted to refresh the website, keeping the user in mind whilst also creating a contemporary design.

Miro Workshop with Client

The Process

Working closely with the head of business development, I took them on a journey to show them how we would update the website to create a modern look and feel. We went through a series of tasks, from understanding their brand pillars, brand DNA and how they want to present themselves. We spoke more about what they expected from the final outcome from a functionality perspective.

Once I got all the information needed to carry out the website design as well as the timeframe, we agreed the best solution at this stage was to use a template of the website to form the base of the design. For the template, we were looking for animation styles and website templates which had a filtering system for products.

Low Fidelity Wireframes

Brand In Action

I provided the client with 4 strong templates that would work and we narrowed it down to one which ticked all of the boxes. Once we confirmed the template that we are using, I started to create low fidelity wireframes, which would allow us to plan out the content for the website. This would also help the client in creating content to include in these sections.

Once the content was provided and the low fidelity wireframes approved, I started to build the website using WordPress. To ensure that the website is responsively designed, I checked to see that all formatting was translated across accurately. Once the website was built, I tested the website on all sized devices to ensure that it was responsive and all information shows accurately.
